Hiya, I'm using amember pro with Worldpay and Paypal plugins - it's great I am struggling with something - I'd like to issue potential members with a coupon code which allows them to sign up for a 1 month free trial. It seems that I can only set up coupons that provide a percentage discount for a membership subscription - for example, 50% off their monthly recurring membership fee. I just want them to have one free month and that's all! I don't want to just set up a product called 'Free Trial' because people might simply resubscribe to it every month and never pay anything? Is there something I can do with coupons, or maybe some other method? Thanks! Louisa
Louisa, it will be necessary to create a new product. You may make it not free, but costing some money and issue coupons giving 100% discounts to this product. There are no ways to 100% correct determine if the same customer was already subscribed to the same product, so it is always possible that peoples will subscribe to this trial again and again. What can you do? - enable "Require Unique Email" in aMember Cp -> Setup - set "Scope" of 1 month product to "Signup Only", so existing members won't be able to use it - issue new coupon codes periodically and disable old codes if your advertising method allows it;
