Great software. We are finding that some of our customers are requesting that we cancel their recurring membership for them. We use Authorize.net.

How do we cancel a member's subscription from within amember CP?

There are no ways to do that but to login as user and cancel, but we will implement it for sure.

Was this ever implemented? If so, how's it done? ...I'm using Paypal but I'm assuming it would be the same as Auth.net

    Thx.

Unfortunately, it was not implement yet.
In any case, it cannot be done with PayPal, you have to login into your PayPal account, find subscription by its Subscription ID (visible in aMember as Receipt# of payment), and cancel it.

    Admin Cancel

I know this is an old post and I've been trying to do some research on this. I will be using Authorize.net.

How does the Admin stop recurring billing for a particular customer? Here's the scenario:

"Customer Calls me and requests that his/her membership to be stopped"

Can I log into Admin and stop recurring billing for this customer and prevent access to the product they were paying for?

I know that the user can Cancel their membership on their own. How can the Admin perform this action?

    Thanks,
    - Jes

Depends on which payment system you are using.
If its locally billed, then you can do it in amember.

If you use a 3rd party system like paypal, you do it on their system.

    Thanks for the reply David.

I was reading through the manual to try and figure this out:

If I change the status from 'Complete' to 'Incomplete' or payment expiration date to yesterday's date, will that stop ALL future recurring billings for the member? This is what I would like to do.

I have not gone live yet, so I'm trying to figure some of this stuff out before I do.

    Thanks,
    - Jes

    Anyone?

I just want to make sure that if the customer wants not to be rebilled in the future, that I am doing this correctly.

    Thanks,
    - Jes

There is a link on the "User Payments/Subscriptions" page called "Stop Recurring" - click that and the billing will stop and once the subscription term ends access will be lost as well. If you want to stop access before that, just manually change the end date.

I am using Authorize.net CIM and I don't see a "Stop Recurring" button.

It is not available for Authorize.CIM unfortunately. You can expire current user's payment, and it will not be rebilled.
