I installed a trial version of amember. I set it up to accept a paypal payment of $0 for a 3-day trial subscription. I was able to "purchase" the subscription
    - the new member shows up in the database as active
    - and email was properly sent showing new subscription username and password
    - I am able to login to the member page showing member info, renewal, etc
    - I am using htpasswd protection plugins

When I try to use the subscription by cliking on the folder link, the login prompt pops up and does not accept the login ID and password.

Basically, I am able to subscribe to a membership, but I am unable to access the protected directory. What am I doing wrong?

    1. Check folder protection settings (special Product ID#s) at aMember CP -> Protect Folders. Re-protect folder to be sure.

    2. If you are on Windows hosting, enable aMember Cp -> Setup -> htpasswd : Plain-text passwords.

    Thanks for your help.
    - I checked the folder protection and even reprotected it.
    - I created other folders and added them to the product list.
    - The membership info page shown when user logs in to amember/member.php reflects the added folders.
    - I still have the same problem, I'm unable to access any of the folders at login.
    - This is not windows hosting.

    What else can I try?

It is better if you contact support via helpdesk with ftp info, amember cp login info, username, password and URL you are trying for test.
