'm building a site, we have 50 products (product A) at cost X. If a member expires, we want to offer them their same product (and only their product) at cost Y (lesser cost). Now I've created 50 separate products at cost Y. (product B) When I try to set it so a user must have a EXPIRED subscription to their product (product A), to get the new product (product B) at the discounted price, it won't show up. I've got SCOPE set to "Only members having completed subscriptions (hide from signup page)." Require another subscription to order product is set to "Require EXPIRED subscription for PRODUCT A". Disallow subscription to this product if the following conditions meet and user has: set to Don't prevent anything (default) Regardless of what i'm setting these options, I can't limit the products to only be visible for people who have previously purchased the product. Any ideas?
So I see I can setup a product for a "trial" period initially for cost X. After that, I can use cost Y. The only problem is being able to display only 1 cost at a time. Is there anyway to expire the cost X for new users, and cost Y for expired users?
To display a different cost you would need a different product. An alternative would be to offer existing buyers a coupon for buying the same thing again. David
Any ideas on the original problem then; not being able to set the second product so its only visible by users who have expired from the same product at the original price?
