Can't Install New Version

I am using Amember version - 1.8.6PRO. Everything was working fine right up until a couple weeks ago when for some reason the script stopped working properly!

It no longer receives payments... when monthly payments are posted from pay-pal the script does not get them or when someone signs up to become a member of my site the payment remains at "not completed" until I go change it. I was happy using the old version but figured I needed to update to a newer version in order to fix the problem.

Installing the new version - Amember Pro 1.9.2.

The setup.php procedure seams to work ok, It says success and the DB is all right but nothing works! No page in the script other than "setup.php" can come up. I cannot get the order-forms, the admin area, or even the default index.php to come up. I keep getting the message that rconfig is expired or corrupt.

    2) I have tried uploading the "iconcube" directory and the rconfig file in ASCII and Bianary - reinstalling the script from the beginning each time. I have installed it about 6 times now. Doesn't seam to matter, I get the error message every single time.

    3) I have set the data and template_c folder to writable as was required in the older version (I noticed the new copy I have doesn't have a instruction in the zip like the old one did). I made the folders writable and not writable, again it doesn't seam to matter, I get the error message either way.

Can someone please help me... I need the new version installed or the old version working (I reverted back to the old version 1.8.6), I can't keep having to manually enter every payment, other than the payment thing the old version works fine.

Also... I am running Amember on a *nix Server (Virual Dedicated - Sphera), with PHP 4.2.3, MySQL 3.23.53

Completely taking a guess here, but your server probably doesn't support the encryption package that the latest version aMember is coming with. If that's the case, you can request the latest version with a different encryption method on it - in my case, my host only supports ZEND and not the ION Cube stuff.

I can offer no help on the other stuff, just started using aMember myself :)

Thanks,, I will contact my host and see if they support "ION Cube", I do know they do ZEND because I have another script that uses it.

Seems you host does support IonCube (really nothing special is needed from you host), but you have to
    upload files
    rconfig.inc.php
    plugins/db/mysql/mysql.inc.php
    in BINARY mode.
If it not helps, try another FTP client.

    Ok.. Thanks

I did upload the rconfig file in Bianary but not the plugins/db/mysql/mysql.inc.php.

    Will try that.
