    Hi all, Ive done a little browsing but not sure if Ive missed it or there isnt an existing thread about any catelogues that integrate with amember.

    Does anyone have any recommendations for products that are downloadable from the Internet?

    many thanks

    Guy - your question looks a bit like similar things elsewhere on this forum and the proposed solution could be similar. Could you expand on what you mean by a 'catalogue' please? Is this to be like a Yellow Pages type directory or a catalogue of products of some description?

    Hi Ianh, sorry for not getting back earlier. Im looking for an app that will provide a cart system plus a catalogue. I have products to sell and even though Ive gone down the route of selling memberships and so am using amember, I would like to now consider the opportunity to integrate this investment into the extra functionality that can be provided with a catalogue and cart system. For instance, amember does not allow a customer to purchase a membership for one particular service / product, put it in a cart and go and continue to browse. I understand this and see it is outside the scope of amember but am here to see what opportunities there might be to integrate with carts / catalogues and thus what that combined functionality provides as an opportunity.

    Many thanks for reading this.

    Ok, so if Alex is not aware of anything that integrates out of the box then there probably isn't anything. But you could get close and then have something custom built to get you there?

    Depending on the level of functionality you want and assuming you are comfortable with proven free software to minimise costs, you could:

    1) Deploy OScommerce or an equivalent and then either: (i) enter bought memberships by hand into aMember (urg!); or (ii) have custom functionality built that recognises when a membership product has been bought through OSCommerce and updates aMember accordingly;

    2) Link aMember to Joomla and have a full CMS with aMember controlling access to 'members only' sections of your website and deploy VirtueMart (a Joomla component) to act as store and cart. Again, you would need to have custom functionality built that recognises when a membership product has been bought through the cart and updates aMember accordingly;

    In both cases an appropriately experienced developer would be needed (shameless plug I'm afraid:) ).

    I also came across this thread: http://www.amember.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2726 and you could try the people listed there to see if they have any solutions?

    I hope you find the above helpful in some way, please do get in touch if I can help in any other way.

    Ianh
