    Hi

After setting up protection with .htpasswd_shared to work with my other payment processors, I now want to revert back to amembers protection (either new_rewrite or .htpasswd) in favour of using the one time download plugin (.htpasswd_shared) only allows for one level of protection.

I am concerned about losing all the usernames and passwords I have if I do so. Will the current .htpasswd file be overwritten or can I just go ahead and disable the shared protection and setup .htpasswd? Would I need to export/import the usernames?

If anyone knows how to safely do this, please let me know.

    Regards

    Natalie

PS. The other reason for ditching third party billing is due to this: Verotel takes over domain ownership Is this true? Simply too scarey to risk.

    Natalie,
you can disable htpasswd_shared plugin and enable other plugins.
Then old .htpasswd file will not be updating, and new file (amember/data/.htpasswd) will be overwritten all times with all active usernames from aMember. new_rewrite doesn't write such files, but also allows login only for members that are marked as active in aMember.
