I am running Amember 2.1.8 pro and i would like to change the outgoing email headers a bit.
It currently shows X-Mailer: aMember (cgi-central.net)

I'd like to change that to something else or remove it entirely...

I did a quick grep for X-Mailer in the and didn't come up with anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It does not appear that you can change "x-mailer" headers in e-mails generated by amember any longer from editing the common.inc.php file

It appears that this orginial post was from 2004 any updates to this for 2008?

Does anyone know what file this is located in to make the change??

I searched but cannot find. I even searched locally om my hard drive through my files.

    Thanks

    ok I found it..

    its located in amember/includes/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php

search for "X-Mailer" in class.phpmailer.php and change to desired...

Just out of curiosity, did you change this to something to be more friendly and junk folder avoidance or just internal branding?
