I want to take advantage of huge Clickbank affiliate communities. I enabled clickbank plugin and opened an account at clickbank.

Here is the problems I faced in working with clickbank + aMember pro :

First of all, aMember pro works fine if I just want to take clickbank as another payment processor, just like PayPal. User will select Clickbank as payment processor from aMember pro signup page. After finishing the clickbank signup sheet, aMember pro will email out username and password.

The problem I see is to take advantage of clickbank affiliate programs. To make that happen, I assume I have to follow the procedure at:
    http://www.clickbank.com/setup.html#test

The standard clickbank buy button is like this:
    http://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?nickname/linknumber/linktitle

I have tried and aMember pro does not seem to support this format. Without this standard clickbank buy link working, I assume the affiliate program at clickbank will not work for my product.

Does aMember pro support clickbank standard affiliate program? I am not talking about using clickbank as another payment processor. I want to be able to recruit clickbank affiliates with my clickbank product. Of course, clickbank does not support recurring payment so that my clickbank aMember product is seperate from regular PayPal product.

I put a ticket and got answer back from Alex:
    -----------------
    Henry,
you have to make link to aMember signup page from your "Publisher's
    Pitch Page
(PPP)". And everything will work then.
Buttons, etc. will not work, only do it as suggested above.
    --------------------

I believe that Clickbank affiliate program rely on the standard button working to make the affiliate program working. I tested my product affiliate button and it does not work.

If I do as Alex suggested, will Clickbank put my product into their marketplace? I doubt it. I look at current Clickbank marketplace, all the products there seem to have standard clickbank button working and affiliate button working.

If Clickbank does not put my aMember pro driven product into their marketplace, there is no real benefit to use Clickbank.

Does anyone here have aMember pro product in Clickbank marketplace?

I just got answer back from Clickbank, they do not approve amember non-standard product.

    -----------------------------------
    Good afternoon,

Currently, we are not designed to interface with shopping
carts/baskets. Our system is best used for the sale of discrete items -- products
or services sold one at a time or as a package. Please resubmit your
request when/if you choose to set-up the standard ClickBank sales link.

    We apologize for any inconvenience!

    Best regards,

    Sarah

    Alex,

I think Clickbank standard button support is very important for aMember pro.

Without standard Clickbank button working, clickbank feature under aMember pro is not very useful feature.

Clickbank has so much large communities of affliates. I would consider Clickbank affiliate/standard button support as top priority.

Can you include this feature in the next release?

I got approval from Clickbank no problem.

Person lands on my sales page, clicks on the order link and is directed to the Amember signup page.

Person fills out form and hits submit, and then automatically directed to Clickbank's order pages.

Works like a charm, you can even use a standard clickbank affiliate link to test affiliate tracking and when you get to the clickbank order page down at the bottom of the screen it will tell you which affiliate will get credit for the purchase.

Now if only we could credit the affiliate somehow when a person manually renews their subsctiption....

Ok, I'm a little confused regarding the Clickbank functionality here.

I'm looking to set up a subscription site with monthly/quarterly/yearly payments using Clickbank, so that I can utilize their affiliate network.

As per my understanding from this thread:
    1) I can use Clickbank as a payment option
    2) Cancellations would have to be handled manually

My question here is - Will the affiliate sales be recognized by AMember? This is a very important point, so I want to be sure about it.

    Thanks!

Do Clickbank affiliates get credit for sales sent through aMember?

Yes, if the user comes to the site via a clickbank hop (affiliate cookied), signs up- they are brought back to the clickbank site to pay (still cookied) and the affiliate gets credit. Recurring will then get credit too.

I'm thinking of using clickbank too. So if I understand this you need to make the amemember signup page the hoplink page? I'd like to make a "pitch" page(webpage describing my website) that has a link to my amamber signup page the hoplink affiliate page - the one I direct the affiliates to. It sounds like I can't do this, but need to make the amember signup page the page to direct affiliates to? For instance if an affiliate sends a visitor to one of my website pages and that user then goes to the amember signup page will the affiliate get credit? This is a recurring subsciption membership I want to sell.

    Thanks for your help.

The hop part puts the cookie on the users computer. So you can use any page on your site as your landing page, then direct them to the amember signup.

What about more than one membership/product in amember?

Ok we have like 3 memberships and 4 direct sale products in our amember program. I understand directing the hop link to the sign-up page, but can that sign-up page be for that one product. ie http
    ://www.yoursite.com/amember/signup.php?product_id=1

or does it have to be just signup.php??

not all our products will use clickbank, unless we change our minds.

Also note that we have unique domain names for some of our products, how ever, the membership is paid and hosted on our main site. Could this cause a problem?

I'm confused as to why signup.php has to be the hop target inside CB.

I wanna send my affiliates leads to a squeezepage/salespage BEFORE they hit the signup page.

Isn't there a way to do that, drop the cookie, when people hit order, they fill out their aMember signup form, hit order, are redirected to ClickBank to complete their order and the affiliate gets credit.

I want to do this with a recurring-membership site. This should be no problem, right?

Yeah, as long as the "hop" (get the clickbank cookie) then go to the squeeze page then signup etc.. the affiliate gets the credit.

    Excellent - thanks!

And ClickBank don't have a problem forcing people through an aMember signup form, then when they hit submit making them complete a CB form, right?

Also, when someone refunds directly with ClickBank, what happens to their aMember account? Is there a plugin that will auto-remove a product subscription from a user account on refunding? I'd pay $$ for something reliable that'd do that.
