Hey everyone, I am in the process of switching all of our products over to paypal. However, I want paypal to interact in much the same way clickbank did. What I mean is this: When a customer clicked on a clickbank "buy" link, they went DIRECTLY to clickbank checkout and amember automatically created a username/password based off their e-mail address, dumped the username and password in their inbox, then gave them immediate access to the product. Currently, the paypal setup requires them to go through an amember "signup" page then onto paypal for payment, doubling the clicks that were needed before. Even with automatic password and username generation the system requires users to go through TWO pages before having access to their product, doubling what clickbank was offering. Would it be possible to setup the paypal plugin so that amember simply uses the customer's paypal e-mail or the e-mail they enter into the credit card form for signup?
A little while back I tested a version of the paypal plugin that let you put it in front of amember, so that a user record was created when the payment was completed. Send in a tech support ticket to see if they have an updated one for 3.1.9. David
Plugin already available in 3.2.2 beta that you can find in member's area. Functionality was included in paypal_r plugin.
Thanks Alexander. How do I just upgrade the plugin ? I've tried to remplace the paypal_r file on the server but it's not working (error message showing up). What files do I need to remplace from the beta (for a 3.1.9PRO) ? Thanks !
