We recently setup the Clickbank plugin in amember. At the bottom of the page it said:

"Q.: I am wanting to use a trial period with ClickBank. Is it possible?
A.: We have reviewed this and unfortunately, there is nothing to implement in the script.
You can configure trial period in your product settings in ClickBank, and it will "work".

What does "work" mean exactly? Can someone shed some light on this?

I'm very curious about the "trial period" with Clickbank and if it will work properly with aMember. If I have a $1 trial for 14 days, then $29.95 every 30 days thereafter, will clickbank not update aMember every time billing happens?

    Thanks.

The newest version of amember (3.1.2) clickbank plugin is now working with the trial payment option. You need to set up the pricing to be the same in both amember and clickbank and can not use coupons.

    3.1.8 pro (paid) works.

If someone refunds from clickbank does amember auto-handle the cancellation?

I believe amember will cancel the account- but doesn't set their payment back to $0 or change the expiration date to yesterday. You will need to do that manually.

For my own tracking purposes, i change the product to a "refunded" product, this way they cant continue unless they pay the full amount again. - I have a higher trial amount followed by lower monthly.

How do you change a product into a "refunded" option, I think my only does expired and canceled?

The version of the Clickbank plugin bundled with 3.1.8 pro (3.0.8 Revision: 3722) DOES seem to handle refunds and chargebacks by immediately expiring the subscription in amember. It doesn't zero the payment though.

I think that David means he has set up a product called "Refunded" which gives no access to anything - and which he can use in the 'product rules' to determine is a person has already had a special offer etc.

    Cheers
    Rob
