I use aMember to control subscriptions to online webinars, most of which are 2 part series. Customers can choose between purchasing just Part 1, just Part 2 or both parts. Now, if they purchase BOTH parts they get access to an additional file they would not have access to if they just bought a single part, which is why I currently just have a third product for those who want to buy both parts.

This works fine for those who purchase BOTH parts right from the start using the special combined product. However, it becomes complicated if they buy Part 1 and then Part 2 (or vice-versa) at a later time because it doesn't give them access to that additional file that is only in the "BOTH" product.

So my question is - Is it possible for aMember to handle this automatically so that IF a customer has already purchased either Part 1 OR Part 2, and then goes back and purchases the accompanying Part, that they are instead given access to the third product that combines both Parts and gives them access to the additional file? My end result would be a single product listed in their account with the combined files for both Parts PLUS the additional file, just as if they purchased both Parts to begin with.

I already have the "Complimentary" plugin from JLogica, which COULD do what I want, but I think it's a little more complicated than that because I'm looking for additional "thought" by the system. I'd appreciate any input on this from anyone. And Larry, if you read this, if you think you could write a custom plugin for this I would be very interested in paying a premium for it.

Simple, but complicated, create additional products that can only be ordered using the allow/dissallow function.

In other words, a new product that can be ordered if they have product A, but now product B. The new product will give them B+C.

This gets exponentially more complicated as you add products.
