Completed transactions are set to order Status: Pending Not-Paid

    I've had this problem for months, and have been searching for the solution, but so far nothing has worked. I just upgraded to 3.2.3.PRO and still have the issue.

    When a new user signs up on amember, they're directed to the payment gateways (paypal or google checkout) and everything looks fine on their end -

    amember creates the user, but sets their product paid field to 'no' and their status as 'Not-Paid' on the User Payments/Subscriptions users screen, and their status as 'Pending' on the browse users screen.

    I receive no notification of the signup from amember (I do receive the confirmation email from paypal or google checkout), and The user receives no confirmation email or communication from amember until I go in manually and tick the checkbox for 'Completed.' ... once I do that, the confirmation email is sent and the followup email sequence starts.

    Software version info
    aMember 3.2.3PRO
    PHP 5.2.15 (cgi-fcgi)
    OS Linux gator975.hostgator.com...
    MySQL 5.1.52

    Things I've tried to do to fix it:

    Check the Error/debug log:
    No hint of any problem. Just logs of completed transactions.

    Gone through all the documentation step-by-step for configuring the paypal and google checkout

    davehelmig has the same problem as me, although the rest of this thread is on a different topic. I did check my SSL as suggested, but I don't recall what company the SSL was originally from.

    Same amember problem, although they resolved it by making sure that the currencies in amember and paypal were the same. I checked, and mine are both USD.

    Similar problem, although the error log showed that the problem was with paypal. my error log shows no discrepancies.

    I've spent about 18 hours on this problem and haven't found a solution. My current workaround is to have amember send emails to pending users, and I've changed the template to say "we manually approve all members, please wait" so that the user thinks this delay is intentional.

    Are you showing the paypal IPN info in your error record? My guess is that the IPN isnt getting through, or maybe paypal changed something (if you have a new paypal account) and amember hasn't made the adjustment yet- this sometimes can happen with new accounts.

    Same Issue

    We've sent in more than one ticket and email and had no response. We have the same issue.

    What was done to fix this? Is there a setting on either the aMember or Google Checkout side we can change to fix this?
