    See www.tothetick.com/members/signup.php.

I want to have Product 1 (Zone University) be an automatic free signup while requiring people to choose one of the next seven recurring PayPal subscriptions. I'm using Product 1 to grant access to all my free stuff. I was able to modify the smarty code to accomplish this, but the problem is, I get an error when I try to choose one of the purchasing options. The error has to do with an expiration date of the year 2037. How can I accomplish this?

    Again, lets review my requirements:

    • Have the ability to grant all users, whether they have any subscriptions or not, access to the certain areas of the site, such as forums and educational content. All that is required is that they Sign Up and Login.
    • Have the ability then, to grant users who purchase something access to their specific area of the site.

I hope this is clear. If not please let me know. Maybe a better way to say this is, how do I protect content which all that is required is that users login? They don't have to be "subscribed" to anything. In this way, I could get rid of my Product 1. Hope someone can help... thanks!

Or how about this... is there a way to protect folders where the only thing required is that they log in and they then have the ability to view the content? If so, then I could get rid of Product 1.

The only work around I can think of at this point is to manually enable all new users for Product 1.

I responded to one of your other threads on this topic, but there is a plugin that will allow you to automatically add "product b" when they purchase "product a".. that will probably get you where you want to be.
