Couple Of Issues

    Hi there,

    Firstly, well done on a nice tool. :)

    When selecting the free payment method (i.e not using any of the other options) and then setting it so that the admin must approve all applications - it would be a lot nicer if the person applying was advised of this! All that happens at present is they can apply and then they are told to enjoy their membership and to please log in - despite not having been approved yet. After logging in this then ends up going to a screen telling them they have no active subscriptions, so they then would try to subscribe to one, which then tells them again to enjoy their membership, to log in, and so on in an endless loop. This of course ends up in multiple applications. There's nothing about how their membership requires approval before it will be activated, nothing about how they will be emailed automatically once their account is approved etc. Wouldn't it be better that if this option is taken, that the applicant is forwarded to a page thanking them for applying, and that they will be notified by email if their application is approved?

    If you have amemberpro you have all these options in setup/configuration/email.
    The email is a text file that you may configure exactly what you want to say to pending payments, expiry notifications, sign up, and payment notifications.

    The payment processors are refered back to your site directing them to a success.html that you can say what you like !

    Your right its a very nice tool !

    Its a pro version feature versus a free version feature then? Thats a shame. For a non profit, non paying member site the free version would be good if it did this. Its just not very user friendly unfortunately for people wanting to join your site if you are taking the free signup option. I couldn't justify the cost of the pro version on this basis. I'm sure however both versions are wonderful for anyone who needs all the different payment options.

    Might this option be included in the free version in a future release? If its only a feature enabled for the free signup configuration then you aren't really disadvantaging yourself with potential sales of the more feature rich pro version. :unsure:

    This is not a free vs "pro" version thing.
    You can edit the thank.html file in the templates directory.
    I replace the text with the following.

    "Thank you for registering for access to our members only area.
    (you will be notified via email when your account is enabled)
    If you have received your notification log-in here"

    I also changed the member.html file from
    "You don't have an active subscriptions"
    to
    "You don't have an active subscriptions or your
    subscription has not been activated yet.
    (you will be notified via email when your account is enabled)
    Please check back."

    I also added:
    Request to Add or Renew Subscription

    Allow 24 hours for your subscription to be verified
    (you will be notified via email when your account is enabled)

    This was easy to do on my computer in FrontPage and then I just reposted to the website.
