I am either going to sound like a complete idiot here, or help a lot of other people that are scratching their heads over this. I am having a heck of a time getting clear on it no matter how many times I read the manual. I am using Auth.net AIM, which I realize allows me to use recurring billing, which I further realize requires the setting of a cron job. My question is this: Once I set the cron as explained in the manual and I know it is not producing an error, is that all that needs to be done for a monthly billing to take place? So every month that cron will go through the subscription DB and determine who to bill and automatically do so? Must I also have the recurring billing feature that Auth.net offers also enabled? Or is that only used if you are having people sign up using their sign up form? Dan
Dan, yes, it is quite enough. Also, don't forget to configure the product as recurring in aMember CP. You don't need to signup for recurring service of Auth.Net - it is useless and doesn't support any automation.
