Is there any way to create a coupon code on my own? I want to choose something in english that users can enter when signing up.

This code in some cases will also serve as an affiliate tracker. (think a special password on a business card - i know that when a user enters this code, they are from that affiliate, and the offer on the card is for $5 off so they get the discount, the affiliate gets the credit)

In other cases it will be just a code that our marketing dept generates, in which case we would 'get the commission'

how can I make this happen

Unfortunately, there are no other ways to do that but to change coupon code directly in MySQL database.

I just wanted to add my support for ttdtech's suggestion. The ability to combine aMem's coupons, 1 tier affiliate, and the recommend plug-in abilities would be great. It would allow everyday people to pass along a discount coupon and get a few $$. It seems like aMem already has "most" of this functionallity. Just need to add code that when new members join, aMem generates a unique coupon (like a user name) tied to the member. The member can always see thier code on thier Member's Page and include it in thier personal emails, or whatever. In fact, each member has a unique login name, why not use that as a coupon/affiliate ID.

Does anybody else out there think this would be good idea? Maybe together we can convince Alex and his team to make it happen.:D

This is exactly what is needed, i would also like to see the ability to require a subscription (purchase) to use a coupon, something like buy 2 get one free, to allow them to get any 3 items/products of their choosing or within a group/category, another use would be say a 4-pack purchase , the coupon would have 1 use, the user selects any 4 products, and avoids the checkout as they have previously purchased the subscription (as a special offer, ie: $50 for any 4 ebooks)
