Customer renewal dates affected with different payment plugins

    When our customers renewal using a different payment plugin, the products shows a start date when the renewal occurred, not when at the expiration of the first product. So let's assume customer initially paid using PayPal, their product expires Feb 1, 2013. They decide to renew early on Jan 1 2013 using a different plugin e.g. 1ShoppingCart or Authorize.net - the start date for renewal is the payment date, not the end of the expiration date (it should start on Feb 2 2013). Any thoughts?
