Date field default value

    On my registration form, I have a custom user field for Join Date. I want this field to default to the current date for new users. Is there a way to do this in the User Field definition?

    Hello,

    aMember already has build in field that handle registration date.
    It is field 'added'.

    How do you want to use this date?

    It was created as a user field before we realized there was the added field. It was mainly for displaying to admins and end users. I have already utilized a hook to set the date appropriately.
