    Hi

I am a version 3.x user and thinking of upgrading to 4.x. I am wondering however if unlike ver. 3.x passwords are encrypted now in the DB in the new version.

Also, does anyone know if that's still the case even with vbulletin integration? In other words, if I decide to integrate with vbulletin then are the passwords going to be in plain text in the DB?

    thanks!

    Hi Patrick,
aMember uses a smart way to store passwords. In short, aMember stores passwords as hashes in formats that enabled plugins will require. So answer is no, there will not be plain-text passwords anymore. Never.
