death of IKOBO

    I'm an i-kard holder from the Philippines. I am here to warn all you people not to deal with ikobo as their services is really not very good. Their live chat doesnt work very well and if it did you wont find any helpful answer. You wont even get replies to your queries.

    I have adviced the person who sent me money to cancel her payment and find a better one.

    Can you suggest one that can offer a better deal?

    Yes, Ikobo is pretty much gone. I received an email form them yesterday that Visa has ordered them to stop processing merchant transactions. No Visa and no MasterCard isn't very good for a company!

    Yep... here is the exact letter:

    NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF MERCHANT SERVICES

    Please be advised that effective immediately iKobo, Inc.is ceasing to provide processing for merchant services in order to comply with a direct request from VISA International under their processing regulations. This request from VISA has no impact on our person-to-person money transfer product.

    Your merchant account has been changed to not allow for new sales and your current funds will be available to you under the existing terms using your iKard. Please update your web site to remove iKobo as a payment provider.

    We apologize for the timing of this action.
