Hello, In aMember V3, I could link directly to a product like so: http://renderfeed.com/amember/signup.php?price_group=1501 In V4 I do not see a clear way to do this. I see that the form action path is '/rfmember/signup'. I also see that there is an id on the input element with the value of product_id---1. I tried to concatenate them into a url, but come up with a 'page not found' error. (http://renderfeed.com/rfmember/signup.php?product_id=1) Am I going about it wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated!
You can use the Form Editor to create an unlimited number of signup/sales pages. Each page will have a unique URL. Each signup/sales page can include any or all of the following components: Product(s) - You can specify exactly which products or categories to include on the form Payment System(s) - You can specify which payment system to provide Name - Will hide if logged in Email - Will hide if logged in - Can configure to send email verification Username - Will hide if logged in Password - Will hide if logged in Address Info Phone Coupon User Agreement Newsletter Signup Custom Fields
An excellent guide. Thank you Grant. I had worked out the basics but I will be returning to your video in the future for assistance. This feature is so useful. I particularly like the idea of having coupons appearing only on specific sign up pages. I have been conscious that if it appears in the default page, prospects may feel they have been cheated if they haven't got a coupon! Now you can point prospective coupon take-ups to a special page. Maybe you could do that in v3 but this makes it all so easy. I'll come back for more suggestions of guides if that's ok. Good work.
Nice video, Grant! One small note - when you click "return" the changes are not saved. Changes are stored only when "Save" button clicked.
Yep. I get all that. I just don't know how to make a "Sales' page with the form editor. A sales page has a lot more on it than a signup form... I think I'd call it an 'Order' page, rather than a 'Sales' page.
If you want more content on an aMember sales/order/product page than is offered with the Form Editor bricks, it would require custom coding. It sounds like you are wanting a more elaborate approach like a "squeeze" page. You could build a sales page in WordPress (Google "WordPress Squeeze Page") as elaborate and obnoxious (sorry, but I just don't like squeeze pages) as you want. When you get to the part where you are going to actually offer a way to buy the product, then provide them an link (text-based or image/icon-based) to the aMember order page.
Yep, I know what a 'Squeeze' page and a 'Sales" page are, Grant. In particular, a 'Sales" page is a page where you sell a product. You write a long-copy sales letter (with video or not) listing the product, the problems it solves, features/benefits, guarantee etc. You also have graphic shots of the product etc. Most importantly you have order buttons which lead to aMember Order page where the forms are used. Because of this, I think 'Order page is a better description for forms. I don't see the forms as a "Sales page" at all.
John, So you need a way to insert html to order page on the top and on the bottom of signup 'form? Will this solve that issue?
Hello Alex... I've got a quick question along the same lines as you are suggesting... I have links to protect pages in ebooks. The protected pages contain embedded videos. Right now if someone who doesn't have a valide username for the selected product clicks on the link they are shown the default login recover password screen. The other link is to the default signup link. The protected page is a link for a specific product BUT the default login form ONLY allows the link to the default signup form which for most users has ALL the products available. I only want the signup to have a link to signup for the specific product/products that have permissions for the protected page. In stead of going directly to the login page is there an option to display html text if they are not logged in and the protected content if they are logged in? That way a link to the appropriate order page could be added to the top of the protected page for users how are not paying customers yet. If there's a way to do that now please let me know...
We will add such functionality for sure, but this will be a little later. For this amember will require some sort of CMS functions, for example ability to create such error pages.
Shortcodes can be used only if you integrate amember with wordpress. In my last post I mean solution for amember itself.
