    Hi there -

We just tested our payment system for the first time... it seems to be doing some weird things.

The test member registered on our site via aMember / 1Shopping Cart.

1.) His payment went through fine.
2.) His record shows up in aMember... but the record is still showing as unpaid & pending.
3.) His mailing address & phone number did not transfer from application to his record in aMember.
4.) He cannot log-in to our Joomla membership website at all, and his record doesn't show up in the Joomla member manager.

As the site administrator, do I need to "activate" his account?

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. I'm stuck.

    Thanks!

    Cynthia

For the past month or so I have had to manually activate memberships to my site. Paypal no longer seems to communicate with the amember software. It has worked fine until now. How can this be corrected???

Are you getting any error messages in your logs?

I would check your IPN settings and your PayPal settings to ensure that the setting to allow access from your website was not disabled or reconfigured somehow.

Cynthia, this is the 1ShoppingCart plugin's fault. I had this exact issue and 1SC refused to acknowledge it, running with my money and never returning. I naturally no longer use them given their appalling customer support and clear lack of common sense.

There are lots of threads here with the same 1SC issue - the forum search shows it's not an isolated problem.
