I am confused! I am trying to use VEROTEL as my billing. I created my Site ID and I have 3 products under that site with different prices. Using the amembers plug-in about 70% of my sales go through and 30% fail because the prices coming from VEROTEL do not match. Amembers tells me now that I need to set up ONE site per product! I can see why they say this, it is easier for them. They do not have to debug the plug-in problem. But it sounds utterly rediculous to me. If that is true why is "most" of the purchases going through? So is anyone SUCCESSFULLY using the VEROTEL plugin? If so how? If not -- then save your money and do not purchse amembers! This tool will do NOTHING for you!
I'm looking for an alternative payment processor and saw your post. Sorry to hear about your bad experience, but did you visit: Pay Systems yet? Under Verotel, it says: It is Verotel's side that is unable to receive variable pricing.
Yes thank you -- I did see that. What I understand that to mean is a variable pricing scheme so that you can discount prices based on a ranking, renewal or coupon. Reviewing the code and scripts they do pass simple pricing off to verotel.
My understanding from the description is, it's not that the aMember script can't pass variable prices, but because Verotel stores the product settings with the product prices in their system, and because of that, Verotel "overrides" any product prices with the one that is stored in the Verotel system. If that's the case, other membership software scripts cannot pass variable pricing either. I didn't review the code and scripts, but I presume that would be an added feature if Verotel were to change their minds about accepting variable pricing. I hope you managed to contact your "dropoffs" and secure the sales with them
Verotel is a PAIN I've been using verotel for a time and it's the worst service you could choose. I'm been waiting years for a money transfer from verotel to my bank account but there's no way, I loosed my password and they only ask me to send then a fax (XXI century and still there) and mails, but after 15 mails/faxes there's no money transfer. Bad support and if you have a problem with your account forget your money.
