I'm probably going to go with the Incremental Content, and will add a Bulletin Board program in the next couple months. If I can do both it's a slam dunk. However in my research I've seen conflicting comments about this. Here it says vBulletin is working "100%" but doesn't say that it is compatible with the Incremental plugin like the question asked. http://www.amember.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11040&highlight=incremental The thread then references this comment from Alex that says things will have problems so he doesn't recommend it: http://www.amember.com/forum/showpost.php?p=35534&postcount=3 Some of this is dated so things may have changed. Please help. Is the Incremental Content Plugin compatible with a Bulletin Board plug in? Thanks for your help?
Incremental Content with a Bulletin Board I have a subscription site where people buy courses. They get a new lesson from the course at week or two increments so that part is incremental. I've been doing it in the past by password protecting each section of content behind password pages and sending out by autoresponder email the passcodes to that weeks content. This adds a layer of complication for people and I thought I could use the Incremental content plugin instead. I want to combine this with a Bulletin Board program that allows people to discuss each session that they have access to,,, but not beyond. If they are up to session 6, they could read and communicate with others about sessions 1-6 that they have been working on, but no further. I don't want them to get caught up on what is coming in a week or two, but rather focus on what they have to work on. I hope that is clear Is this possible and what is the best way to go about it? Thanks, Gary
The amember incremental system is product specific, meaning product a releases access to directories/downloads over time. It doesnt advance levels over time. I think you would need a customization or custom plugin to make this work. Have seen this question a few times before, so think amember tech support has a solution for it. David
