My membership site runs on amember and every month I upload a product that members can download - usually with no problem. However, this month I tried without success to make a document available for download from the protected "members" folder and script continues to redirect members to an error page on my WordPress site instead of the actual PDF document.

Any ideas as to what might have happened or what I might have done wrong?

And the error page says what (bit important that)? File not found, Access Denied??

My site has around 5,000 files available for downloading with more added most months. Normal reason for error messages is file not names EXACTLY as the link - misuse of upper/lowercase or simple spelling errors etc.

Perhaps sharing the link would help uncover the issue.

Another common issue (besides upper/lowercase) is the use of spaces in the file name.

Are all 5,000 of those files in a single directory or split up into their own protected folders?

Skippy they cover a number of makes of boiler manuals.

They are stored in a single protected directory which then contains over 150 directories (named after each boiler manufacturer) with each of these containing the individual PDF files that relate to that respective manufacturer.

This way they are all protected but I only have to protect a single directory in aMember. I have a single product permitting access to all PDF files for a 12 month period.
