I think many people agree that for membership for paysites it is probably best to leave many of the editable feilds like user name UNeditable, I personally plan to only allow the password to be edited. And while I think this is a good approach it would be nice if the user could still see their user info on their http://sitename.com/amember/profile.php "edit profile" page in a noneditable way. when i turn it all off except for the password there's not much on this page, this would also help admins with multiple testing accounts remember which one they were logged in as... is there an easy way to add user name and real name and important user info in read only on the "edit profile" page above where the editable info is? i'm a php nube i've looked for this elsewhere and not been able to find anything on the topic. i think this would be a useful addition to future versions. thank you!
You can edit the template profile.html to allow it to only display user info. Change the input fields from text to hidden. David
Hi David, I'm currently only allowing password change so as it is now it is not showing the rest of the info - will this allow it to even if the global settings are set not to allow name and username changes? thanks for your reply!
not working i've already got it set so that it's only showing password and gender change(gender being the only addon variable i made) so all of the others are turned off already - changing to hidden from text doesn't help... if i could overide and make them appear but leave only password editable that would be sweet...
