Email Communication Settings?

    It seems to take a while before any of the signup emails are delivered from amember. I am still testing out a new membership site at http://theweekendchef.com. When I add a test user and email address sometimes the email doesn't arrive until the next day.

    Is this set to the CRON job? If so, is there any problem setting the CRON to run every 15 mins or less?

    If it is not part of the CRON job, how do I adjust/troubleshoot the timing issue?

    Hi,
    This is your mail server issue. aMember send signup message immediately after first completed payment. It does not control mail delivery.

    Confirmation Email problems

    Hi weekend chef, I just registered for your free membership and the email came down straight away.

    I too, have a very similar site - www.k-3teacherresourcesmembers.com and I was having trouble with emails coming down also.

    I switched the email verification off but now feel it is best on. It is a really tricky one to know, but it is not worth the spam issue, you may lose a few but in the long run I think it is better to have it on.

    I do have a bit of an issue with the verification email BEFORE the payment. This seems to be a bit of a problem as people are being put off by having to wait for the email before they can even complete payment.

    I am going to ask Alex if there is a way around this.

    Have you had a problems with this?

    Any other views or experience on this? Thanks It would be good if the confirmation email could come after payment completion but before access to site.
