I've activated the option where you have to confirm your email address to have an active account. This works perfectly fine for free members, but it's a little more difficult for paying members using 2checkout. What happens is that after they've gone through amember on my site, a confirmation email is sent to them. BUT. When they receive that email, it brings them to a 2checkout checkout process and I don't believe that it actually confirms their account.

How do you have this set up? I was thinking somehow have a completely separate process. One that confirms the email for amember, and another that redirects you to 2checkout after confirming. I'm not sure if that's going to be possible though.

Sorry not sure what you mean by confirmation then?
When user will receive confirmation email and will click a link on it, he already confirm his email address. Confirmation in this case means "make sure that user specify valid working email address" so if user will specify not valid or not working address he will not be able to receive confirmation message so will not be able to continue payment process and will not be redirected to 2CO.

Oh I see. The confirmation link, even though it redirects him to 2co, is already confirmed. Usually it redirects you to a page on my site that says 'your account is confirmed' or something like that.

But the weird thing is that I've checked after clicking the link in a test account, and it seems it wasn't added to amember

I guess I'll have to do some more testing to see what's going on.

amember create account before send link. So if you receive verification email message, account already created.
