I know this should be very simplae to do but it is causing me nightmares. I need an email software/service that can work with amember so that my active members get emails and get unsubscribed or taken off the active members' list when they are no longer active. So when their membership expires I want them taken off the members list. I bought autorresponse plus and tried the plugin from the amember folks. It would add subscribers but not take them off the list when their membership ended. So expired people kept getting emails that should only go to members. so that did not work. I tried the autoresponse plus plugin from Ken Gary. same thing. doesnt take them off the list. So that didnt work. I tried the aweber plugin from ken gary. but I want the process to be brain dead simple and with double opt in, if members dont get their emails they wil complain, cancel and chargeback. so that didnt work. I tried the mailchimp plugin from ken gary. same problem. new members get added to the members list but they dont get taken off when their membership expires. I would prefer to use a service like mailchimp/aweber/getresponse so that my domain never get flagged as a spammer or blacklisted. but at this point i just want my emails to be delivered only to active members. the only thing is I dont want to use amember to deliver the emails. i need the emails to be sent quickly because they are time sensitive. is this so hard?? Please help!!! thank you Ameen K
Have you set up EVERYTHING correctly including running the cron job because it is there, I am pretty sure, where expired members get deleted from email subscription. Have you emailed Ken Gary? I have just purchased the mailchimp version and hopefully will install it during the comming week. Will post here how it went and if it does delete expired subscriptions ok.
I have been working with Ken. he has been nice enough to help alot but it still isnt working right for some reason. I had the autoresponse plus people look at the situation, and the amember people looked at the situation.
Ameen, I believe we have solved the issues and fixed the bugs with the aMail for ARP plugin, right? The last time you did the Database Rebuild it did indeed remove the people in aMember who should not still be on your lists, right? I just wanted to confirm with you and set the record straight here. Thanks, Ken
