There is a way to resend mail in the system with status not sent. I had a problem with my user authentication and all email was blocked. I had new inscription to my site but user never received mail.
There is no way to resend failed email messages yet, but I think this could be usefull to have such functionality: http://bt.amember.com/issues/1073
