I am using Amember and have about 3,000 members, I want to send out a renew membership and different promo's etc... Can Amember handle this function Via "Email Users"? I am on my own dedicated server. Thanks Rick
My Experience Mailing with Amember.... I'm in the same situation as you and have a couple of tips that might help to make sure that the mail actually gets delivered. Other settings may send the mail successfully... just not get it delivered. 1. Make sure your amember software is installed on the ROOT domain of the machine. 2. Use SMTP as the mail transport not phpmailer. 3. Use the SMTP Server on the same ROOT domain as your amember install 4. Check your mail log files and bounces and check the major carries "like Yahoo" to confirm they are accepting your mail. This is especially true if the domain name you are using has just been registered recently. Because I was sending quite a bit of email to Yahoo accounts, I had to send a couple of emails to their support team with my mail "headers" etc before they would accept them. Since then I've had no problems. 5. Make sure you have your postmaster and abuse emails setup properly. This setup is running great for me.
"Make sure you have your postmaster and abuse emails setup properly." Thanks james but what does the above statement mean? Also, my hosting company suspended my account. I need to find a way to keep members from using free email addreseses (exp aol) as that got me suspended using the amember mailing system from my domain. Any suggestions? Thanks again H
