    Hello Forum,

I am new to AMember. It looks like just the software I need, so I downloaded and installed the Zend trial version.

Everything uploaded in binary mode ok. The setup program ran perfectly. The database (that I precreated) was populated properly. So the last thing to do was to run the Admin file to login as admin.

As soon as I try to run the index.php file in the Admin folder, I see this error...
"Fatal error: Unable to read 6632 bytes in /home/public_html/AMember/admin/index.php on line 0"

Any ideas from anyone why this might occur? I thought it might be a permissions issue so I temporarily set all of the file permissions from 644 to 755.

Thank you for your magical wisdom :)

This sounds like 1 of 3 things to me:

    1) The files were not actually uploaded as Binary for some reason (try reuploadling them and double checking that Binary (and not Auto) is selected. Setup will run fine even if not uploaded in Binary.

    2) Your host/server does not provide ZEND support (did you run the tester?)

    3) A file(s) were corrupted during install, try reuploading again in Binary mode

    Skippy was right

Even though wsFTP indicated it was uploading in binary, it did not. I tried several time. I switched to Cute FTP and it worked fine the first time.

    Thanks for your suggestions.
