Hi, I updated from PHP4 to PHP5 at the weekend. The aMember script is fine, but it no longer processes the confirmation from Paypal! I imagine this has something to do with PHP scripts blocking external requests (or something), but no idea how to switch it off. (WHM/CPANEL) Any help appreciated.
I have this same problem and wrote the help desk over 36 hours ago with no response. I am using Php 5.2. I disabled the firewall, and even made sure the fopen command could be used in my php.ini file. Nothing is working and my customers are getting upset. Let me know if you get an answer from support. Apperently, they can upload files for you to fix the problem with the IPN.
Re: IPN validation error: Paypal claims it is not-valid IPN Ryan, I'm running into the same problem after an upgrade from php4 to php5, be sure to post a fix. Best, Justin
Justin, There is no ready to use fix. This mostly depends on your hosting server configuration. So contact support we will help.

Same problem - is there a solution? We've run into this same problem and have read all the posts pertaining to this problem, but no one posted what the solution is!!! We've submitted a ticket and was told that the email address was not verified, but it was verified. Any idea what the solution to this is???? Please help!
Solution depends on your server setup, there is no universal solution that will work for all. If the problem is not fixed yet, send email with your server ftp info and amember CP info to support@cgi-central.net or alexander@cgi-central.net
