    What exactly does this mean?
"usually you may keep your customized USER-SIDE templates"

Usually? are there problems of losing changes when changing over to newer version????

    What exactly does this mean?

"you MUST upgrade ADMIN-SIDE template files"

Its not clear to me what this statement means. Wouldn't one do this anyways or is this refering to something else?

    Thank you

    1. Backup database and aMember files - it is IMPORTANT
Use "aMember CP -> Backup Db" to get a copy of MySQL database
and use FTP client to get copy of entire aMember folder.

    2. Rewrite aMember files with new version
usually you may keep your customized USER-SIDE tempaltes ,
however you MUST upgrade ADMIN-SIDE template files and
don't forget to upload new user-side template files, which have
been not present in the installed version.

    3. Run http://www.yoursite.com/amember/admin/upgrade_db.php
It will upgrade database structure without losing of any data.

    4. Check everything, we recommend you to run a test payment.

USUALLY we trying to keep user-side templates untouched. However, if we never update templates, how could we add new features to aMember script?

It means: "update all files to amember/templates/admin/ folder to most recent version".

Ok here is what I really need to know

    We have version- aMember 1.9.3RC10PRO
    PHP 4.2.3 (cgi)
    MySQL 3.23.58

We had you do some mods to our software last year when we installed Amember (each member gets there own directory). Also we have extensivly customized ameber templates, files, etc. for our site.

I want EVERYTHING to work the same as it does now. We have a high volume site don't want to screw things up.

Will upgrading to a newer version of Amember lose all our current customization that you did for us and what we have customized ourselves?

    Thank you
