I am just getting amember set up and I have a test member registered. I set the member up so that their subscription would expire yesterday. Today they can still access the forum.

I guess I thought that amember was set up so that members that expire would not have access to the forum.

If this needs to be set up under the "protection" section, can someone please explain to me how to do that?

I wonder if something is not working right with the plug in?

It's a combination of the plug-in settings and your VB settings.

In aMember setup/configuration/VB Plugin you will have "Default Level - user reset to this access level if no active subscriptions exists". You need to set that to whatever VB user group you want people to revert to when their subscription expires. Then, within VB, you have to set the permisisons on that user group to whatever you want non-members to be able to do. e.g. Can view forums, but can't reply etc etc.
