Just watched this video on the Facebook developers site: http://developers.facebook.com/news.php?blog=1&story=177 Got me thinking, what would single signon support between aMember and Facebook look like? For me I'm thinking it would replace the need to populate username, email, full name in the signup form and on login would be a "click here to login with your facebook account" option. This would open the door to posting status updates to Facebook "skippybosco just signed up for the monthly bookclub at mydomain.com" or something similar to cross promote. How about you? Would you be interested in such integration? How would you implement it on your site?
And to the same question, it seems that you could also extend this to Open Social, Open ID.. Obviously the less they have to fill out the less abandonment you will see.
or as just pointed out to me.. clickpass does the heavy lifting for you. I'm considering getting this integrated into aMember.. any interest from the community?
I backed off from clickpass as they redirect you their web site which I suspect will probably spook a lot of folks. Still like the idea of a facebook and/or google friend connect option that just does a lightbox and then populates.
I would love to see a plugin or some other form of integration between Facebook Connect and Amember. Looking at the demo on facebook it shouldnt be too hard to implement.
I'd love to see something like this implemented on the login/signup screen: http://stackoverflow.com/users/login?returnurl=/ with FB login/signup added too, of course. Or something along those lines.
I may be naive -- why do you need to have plugin between aMember and FB? How will this benefit aMember users? You're not bringing FB into your own social network -- it's already open network.

Is this going anywhere? I think this has the potential to help us all out in the promotion of our sites... which is what its all about.
Hi, did anyone found a solution for facebook connect integration in amember ? If no I could work on it. thanks
Facebook Connect Plugin Hi all, I've just launched an easy to use Facebook Connect Plugin for aMember that will help you open your doors to Facebook's 400 MILLION Users... No Coding Skills Needed! Cheers Rob
Dammit Rob. Now I have to come up with a mass appeal amember site just to try this. Like I wasn't busy enough...
