Suggestion for a New Subscription Option

    Alex,

I would like to make a suggestion for a future release.

It would be the ability to set a starting and ending date on a subscription product not just a set duration from the sign-up date. This feature should also allow you to set a time range to subscribe to the product.

As you are aware I have (with your help) integrated aMember and Moodle. Moodle is a great open source course management system that has a large user base. I completed the first integration about a month ago and there are at least 6 Moodle sites now integrated with aMember. I think this number will continue to increase.

In educational settings you often have students enroll into a class that will start on a specific date and end on a specific date. For example, the class might last 3 months, you don't want the 3 months to necessarily start when they enroll. It needs to start on a specific date.

In this type of scenario you would also have a last date to enroll into the class. You would typically not want to allow students to continue to register to a class after it had started. In some cases the administration would want to end class registration before the class even starts.

I also imagine that this second option on course duration would be used in other (non-educational) applications.

Thanks for making a great subscription script and always listening to your user base!

    Grant

You can set fixed expiration date. For that, enter into duration field date in format:
    yyyy-mm-dd
    like
    2005-12-24

    OK,

That gets me half way there... Is there a current way to set a start date that would be different than the signup date?

I could manually handle the registration period by hiding the class when I wanted to end registration.

No, but this could be done as easy customization. Please contact me personally (to Alex Scott) via helpdesk, and I will do this.
