How do I setup PayPal in conjunction with AMember so that my new members get their firsth thirty (30) days free and then automatically start getting billed from then on until they cancel?

    Thanks

don;t forget to make it recurring

Key here that confused me is that with paypal you must check teh recurring box and include at least two payments, otherwise paypal throws a confusong error (doesn;t accept teh $0 trial amount).

As far as I know there's no workaround to make a free trial then a single payment (essentially defer payment).

Correct, with paypal regular, you need at least 2 payments after the trial.

I have a plugin that gives lifetime access after the 2 payments are made that I give to my premium members: you can read about it here: lifetime plugin

I just figure this out too. This is really LAME. I don't want my members to have to be on auto re-occuring payments and I want to offer a 1 month free trial on new subscriptions. So is this impossible to do with aMember using PayPal Standard as the processor? If so, what are the alternatives?

I want to offer a 6 or 12 month membership with a 1 month free trail and no re-occuring payment.

Are you able to make the same pricing options working with paypal website payments standart buttons? If no this is impossible with amember as well.

But such options should work with PayPal PRO without a problem.

I will look into switching to PayPal Websites Payment Pro. One question I have though. If I use Website Payments Pro, do I need to also sign up for the re-occuring service (cost $30.00 more per month) to be able to offer a Free Trial with no re-occuring payments?

With the PayPal Standard, the only way in aMember to get it to work using PayPal is to set up re-occuring billing and then I have to set a limit on the number of re-occuring payments.

Yes you will need to signup for that service.
It will work like reocurring payment but with just one installment. So it will create recurring payments profile for user.
