Folder protection working too well

    I set up the new_rewrite plugin and then set the protected folder where 40 videos reside. Now when a member logs-in and tries to watch the QT or WMP stream, they get a broken icon and no stream.
    If I remove all protection from the folder no problem watching the videos after logging-in BUT anyone can watch the videos without logging in too!
    What am I doing wrong here?

    what video player are you using? I have a similar set up using the JW Player without issue.
