    Have you had this experience...

I've managed to install the trial all the way through editing the config.inc.php file, but now all I get is a Forbidden Access error screen. There is no way to log in or access Amember to continue the setup. If you solved this problem, how did you do it...or point me to the info on the site.

I've already searched the manual and site without results. This forum has a search feature, but it doesn't appear to work (nothing happens when you click the link).

Yes, I've already submitted a support ticket, but I need to keep moving on this installation and would rather get the answer now so I can cancel that ticket.

Any useful help is appreciated! :)

Well, people viewed my question, but no one answered...not even from Amember.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the program and then started getting error messages in Kanji (at least I'm guessing they were error messages...LOL!).

My WONDERFUL host company, OneWorldHosting.com (BEST EVER!!!) took pity on me and fixed the problem. First they uninstalled the second install, and installed it again. It wasn't my PHP editing that was the problem...it was the writability of a directory. Amember was not able to edit the PHP itself, so he changed the access and it worked!!!

If you hate your host company, I can highly recommend OneWorldHosting.com. It isn't the first time they've helped me out like this!

Now, I've got to figure out if Amember has the features I need...Wish me luck!

aMember does say that access permissions need changing for certain files.
