    Hi there - quick question:

    The application that I am thinking of using aMember for requires a different profile for each purchase - is there any way of forcing each purchase to use a different profile while still keeping the same email address? [ I appreciate that I could force a new profile by preventing same email usage].

    The application is a membership site, but does not sell physical or virtual products per se, but sells membership.

    Thanking you so much

    Sincerely

    As far as I am aware as soon as a profile has been created and associated with an email address, that email address can't be used again to create a new one. It will assume the membership has already been created and prompt for login.

    I don'[t even know how it could be done with custom programming because the email address is associated with a table entry in the database.

    Why do you need different user profiles per user for a membership site? Maybe some more info could prompt other ways to handle it.

    The profiles are storing information as regards a particular property [as in house or office] relating to that user. Joomla front end.

    Any user may wish to add another property and information about that property is held in the profile. Hence the one to many question.

    I understand there are other ways of doing it - but the whole thing rests on the ability to [a] subscribe, store property information with the profile and [c] have recurring payments.

    I might custom program the front end - have a look up table which associates an email address with different usernames, and enter the aMember application at that point: depending on which username the User has chosen from an associated email address. I had looked at JUser to handle all of this, but I need the ability to offer good invoicing and - again - the subscription model.

    Many thanks

    Sincerely

    Sure this is possible. (aMember CP -> Setup -> Global -> Require Unique Email
    -> Off)
