I am fairly new to this product. Is there a way to have several 'pay per membership' products, and then 1 free membership? I am using Xoops 2.2.4 with aMember, and I want to give a limited access account to my potential members, for free. Im not finding this ability though. Even when I setup a trial account, using 0.00 as the amount of the product, and using the trial account features. I still get taken to a CC checkout page. Any ideas?
Same issue. I am having the same problem, Alex is working on it and the support in getting my site up has been really great much better than delta Scripts, I purchased a classifieds scripts from them and their support sucks bad. On some trouble tickets I never heard back from anyone, much different here.
Alex may have a better solution, but try this: If you set up your "trial" as a trial period with trial 1 price = ???, and the regular price = ???, aMember will need the payment info for the regular price. This isn't a bug, it's the right way to do this. If you have a seperate absolutely free product (no trial periods), aMem won't prompt for the payment info. Set the period at 1 month (or whatever you want), non-recurring, only available on main sign-up, and unavailable for existing members. Make another product that is your normal membership type with no trial period (this will need the payment info), requires the free product, only availble on member's page. This will have the same effect. Your members will have to manually choose your regular product after their short trial expires. They can easily abuse this with free gmail or other email accounts. Your original trial method requires them to come up with valid CCs or PayPal accounts, and in my opinion is really the better option.
I have this I just made sure my Free plugin and my 2checkout plugins were active. When you set this up just do not put in a price and mine defaults to Free and the users are allowed to sign up for free WITHOUT going to the 2checkout payment page.
