thought I would test the free version. step 3 of the install says: Code: Install MySQL database should the setup create mysql tables in specified database? That is not clear: am I Install[ing] the MySQL database or am I create[ing the] mysql tables in specified database? Which is correct Also, I selected the option to have Code: the script send signup emails to customers and the config.inc.php has Code: $config['send_signup_mail'] = 1; But there was no email confirmation required and I just went to the Membership Information page. Does the email registration work?
I installed mine by creating the empty database first and then used the installer to populate the database. I always do that with scripts, I think it takes away any hassle with permissions that some servers impose on setting databases up. The email confirmation on sign up works - there is nothing that does'nt ! Not sure about the free version but its activated in admin emails on the pro version. With your last purchase of software, you will be very cautious this time - I was. Never looked back
