Hi. I am running phpbb2.04 with lots of mods (birthday, photo gallery, etc.) .. will the Amember plugin affect the mods at all?
Hi I am running a heavily modded phpBB2 board, using Amemberpro. I have multiple phpBB2 boards running off the same users tables, with mycalendar and a few other mods. The way I installed Amemberpro was to install the amember sql tables into the phpBB2 database with a Amember_ prefix . The phpBB2 and Amemberpro database can then talk to each other with the Amemberpro phpBB2 plug in. The only tables involved are the user tables and user groups, so I can't see how that can affect any of your mods, and Amember only populates the phpBB2 tables when new members sign up and pay. You will need to disable registration through phpBB2, I did this in the headers, and in phpBB2 admin stop users being able to change usernames. I have put phpBB2 in a protected directory with secure .htaccess ( uses encrypted password and username) very happy indeed with the way it works. Works a treat for me and Alex is top notch for support!
