    Hey guys,

I have been looking around for quite a while for THE perfect membership software out there that will do exactly what I want without having to hire a programmer to do this all for me, and this seems like the one, so far.

I just want to make sure it can really do what I want it to do before I put my money into it.

So basically I am setting up a website that will offer clients a specific service. This service will require a client to pay for a subscription, create a unique profile (that is only visible to the administrators and that unique client). Once they have paid and created an account, the should also be able to upload/edit information in their own profile. At the same time, they should be able to easily communicate with the administrator via comment threads or a private forum to that unique client.

This is a very specialized service, so it requires each client to have their own private area.

Also, although no client can see each other or search each other, they should all be able to view general content on the website that is included in their paid subscription.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think what you are looking for is a client management system like "basecamp".

It seems to me that aMember will serve your needs well, although you may have to add a helpdesk to manage the private communication between clients and admin.

With aMember, you can add an unlimited number of custom fields to be used in the member profile, and members can easily edit their own profile data. I don't think it's possible (at this time) for members to upload any files to their profile, although this can be done with most helpdesk software.

    Thanks for the input!

David - Right now, the website is going through it's demo/testing phases, so I'm not sure if my client will be willing to throw in monthly payments just yet.

We need something to see if the idea can take off.

My other question would be, within these private profiles, is there any way to have several tables within it? For example, Client#10 has a Personal Profile, Workout Profile, and Achievment Profile? Would there be any way to show a separation between these profiles, whether it be by different pages or even tables?

    Good fit!

    Hi gennybeans,

Sounds like aMember is a great fit!

For private content, aMember has a plugin called "Personal Folder", where you can upload private content that is specific to that member only.

For general content, you can use Wordpress or Drupal as a CMS to help keep your content organized.

You will need customization for this.

    Thanks Lee for the reply.

Yea, I figure as long as I can customize it with CSS, I am a happy camper and can make it look the way I want.

    Great!

Thanks so much guys! I think aMember would work perfectly.
