ok i want to build a free membership site. it will have news updates and other such things like that, i want it to be able to basically tease them, like be able to see it, but wont be able to get the full thing unless they subscribe and make an account. i want to know if that can be done. i know that wordpress can be implemented. but dose the fact of being a membership site hinder the ability to use rss feeds secondly, i knottiest that amember has a newsletter autoresponder type of deal. how reliable is this? can it handle a newsletter list of 100k and over. last, i want to implement a bit of a code thing where people can submit requests and people can vote on them agreeing that they would like to see that request featured as well. is amember open source enough to be able to implement that with memberships.
I think wordpress will work well for the content management and creating of the teaser text. For large lists, you should use a 3rd party system like aweber. For a voting setup, you should look for a wordpress plugin and see whats available. David
