I'm using the new google checkout plugin and it seemed to work until google contacted me to suspend my account. The problem: As part of the use of "checkout" we are supposed to feature the hosted "Checkout Buttons" before they get to the signup.php page. How are others meeting this requirement?? The checkout button isn't part of the amember setup and so it must be added somehow. The email from google is below. Tom Hello Tom, We recently requested that you update your website in order to meet our Checkout button and logo policies, avoid suspension of your account, and display Checkout badges on your AdWords ads. However, we've found that your website still appears not to meet the following {policy/policies}: ( https://checkout.google.com/seller/policies.html), you must ensure Google Checkout buttons or Buy Now buttons are available on your website before any registration or sign-in pages. Because it appears your website doesn't meet this policy requirement, your Google Checkout badges have been suspended. In addition, if your website continues not to meet this requirement, you may not be eligible to process transactions through Google Checkout any longer. Please edit your website so Google Checkout buttons or Buy Now buttons are available before your registration or sign-in pages, then respond to this message so we can confirm the changes. Please make the appropriate changes to your website immediately, then respond to this message so we can confirm the changes. If you don't update your website, you won't be eligible to process transactions through Google Checkout any longer. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Sincerely, Esther The Google Checkout Team
Tom, could you please ask Esther something like that: --- I am using a custom software script (named aMember) on my website. Due to way it works, it requires to enter little information before signup, then user redirected to Google Checkout for processing. It is not a problem to place any necesary buttons and images on my pages, but aMember signup process workflow cannot be changed : signup form -> payment -> thanks page. Is it possible to work with Google Checkout this way without Google Checkout agreement violation. If not, it is a huge restriction! --- If answer is no, then unfortunately, we have to remove GoogleCheckout from supported paysystems, there is no solution. By some reason they limit themself on shopping cart market, and do not want to see there are other tasks. It is clear even from their programming API.
i have had that problem as well, but for me the easy solution was to add at leat 1 buy now button on any where in your website and show google that your showing a buy now button before register, it could be a useless product name. and let ur users pay though amember while u show one button on a seperate page just to show google.
