Google Checkout is live now: http://checkout.google.com Any plans in the near future for a payments processor plugin for Amember? Frank
To be honest, I don't understand this enthusiasm regarding GC. It is actually NOT an alternative for PayPal and it is something too limited to be useful.. Have your read this? https://checkout.google.com/seller/content_policies.html specially these lines: - Adult goods and services - Financial products, services, and stored value - Subscriptions !!!!! NOT ALLOWED AT ALL?! Additionally, it does not accept countries other than United States. I believe it won't be useful for 90% of our clients. For other 10%, we will start integration on this week
Count me in for the 10% that it works out well for. For those that are not familar with it, and do not fit into the categories that Alex mentions, consider the fact that for every $1 you spend in Ad Words you get 3x that back in processing fees. So if you spend $100 / mo on advertising through Google Ads you get $300 free processing.. Nice!
I think this will be a great addition. 97% OF all my orders are from the US and very few are subscription based.
I just signed up with Google. It was quick and easy. They will save me a lot of money in processing fees. Please let me know when you have a quick plugin ready. Thanks for offering a wonderful product!
looks like they removed subscriptions off of the "not allowed" list cuz I could not see it in the link Alex. Maybe GC will get better slowly over time. Anyway, as of right now, GC is N/A for my needs.
Hi, We need help in testing google plugin. If anyone willing to help us, please write to support@cgi-central.net and provide link to this thread. We will appreciate any help.
No, it is included in both aMember Pro and aMember Trial. However, recently a customer had a problem with this plugin, but I hope it will be resolved ASAP and problem is not inside the plugin.
Any progress with the Google Plug-in? I am getting a Google Checkout payment error. It looks like I have everything set up properly. According to their FAQs page it says " If you wish, you may also use Checkout for billing or subscriptions", but they do not yet support recurring subscriptions. That's OK, mine are all lifetime.
