I need to include some JavaScript code on the page that the customer sees immediately after completing a purchase so that I can have conversion tracking reports in Google Adwords and Yahoo Pay-Per-Click advertising. How do I do that?

Edit /amember/templates/thanks.html and insert your code into that template.

On this same topic.... I am wondering if any modifications need to be made when adding the Yahoo Universal and Event tags to the thanks.html. With the old Google analytics I have code in the actual thanks.html page and within the header and footer files. Yahoo says to put their code in between the header tags (both the universal and event). This will of course put the event tag on every page utilizing the header.html file...not just the thanks page.....

Question is, should I do what Yahoo says and add both tags, but to a unique header1.html file and change the reference in the thanks.html page?

Is there anything I should add to the actual thanks.html page like google to pass the dynamic sale amount>

    TIA

    twholycross,

I'm not familiar with the Yahoo Universal and Events, but the reason for adding it to the header would be for analytic around the conversion and funneling process.

Google Analytics still exists on every page for page tagging, but Thanks page has additional tagging to collect the details of the transaction. I would imagine that Yahoo is the same which would mean that Yes you should ignore Yahoo and add it to the footer template and transaction tagging to your Thanks page. (IMO)

ps. what does your username mean? is the tw for Taiwan?

    skippybosco,

Thanks for the response. I will give it a go.

The TW are the initials of my first and middle name. And how about your username? I was curious myself:)

skippy: worked for whirlpool corporation many years ago.. listing to my voice mail messages on speaker when the president of the company walked in as I was skipping a message. He asks "why is that telephone calling you skippy?"

bosco: checking in at a hotel in Texas, cute desk girl with thick southern access calls me "Mr. Bosco" (which is a butcher of my last name) and asks "is that right".. I respond "you can call me anything you want"

Years later when I was doing DJ work for a non-profit children radio station it all came together as "skippy bosco roller hockey boy"..
